Team NorCal kept their great year going as they competed in several national and international tournaments this past month.
The USTA National Selection tournament taking place in Honolulu, HI, saw Stevie Gould from Corte Madera, reach the finals. On his way to the finals, No. 3 seed Stevie, beat hometown favorite and No. 2 seed, Andre Llagan of Honululu, HI, 7-5, 6-1. In the final match, Stevie gave it his all but eventually fell to the No. 1 seed Jack Pulliam of Manhattan Beach, CA, 6-3, 6-3. Stevie had this to say about his runner-up finish, “The tournament was a great experience overall, and I feel like I got better as each match went on and hit my stride.” Congratulations on a great run Stevie!
